In case of Gas fireplace there is no need of the chimney because a hole in the wall serves the purpose of venting the gas fireplace. The Gas fireplaces are easy to install just because you can place the gas direct vent wherever you want them.
Vent-free gas fireplaces: A fireplace without the vent can be a source of carbon monoxide. This can be injurious and sometimes fatal to the residents of that house. It is because of this reason that these sort of fireplaces are not popular.
Wood burning fireplaces: Natural is after all natural. The charismatic glow, smell and the crackling sound of the burning wood is enchanting. When it comes to heat, there is no consistency in wood fire. Wood burning fireplaces need a lot of maintenance.
Pellet fireplaces: The Installation of the Pellet fireplaces is far more expensive than that of wood-burning fireplaces. The Pellet fireplaces facilitate extended burn times. The fuel for pellet fireplaces is available at most hardware stores.
Electric fireplaces: Electric fireplaces are portable and easy to operate. They are not realistic looking.
Wood-burning stoves: The Wood-burning stoves are sealed. They operate without consuming room air.
