Urban Legends: College Sex Stories

Among the zillions of college sex stories out there are plenty of tales known as urban legends. Urban legends are bizarre, sometimes creepy stories that have no solid evidence attached to them, and yet many people believe that they must be true. The most catchy tales are of course those that have something to do with sex. Some of the most notorious college sex stories are summarized here.

One of the most long standing college sex stories involves breath mints, namely Altoids. Legend has it that sucking on some Altoids before giving oral sex will enhance the pleasure to the receiver. Several years ago an email floated around hundreds of college campuses talking about how the zing that Altoids brings to your mouth will bring zing to your partner. Unfortunately, not only is there no evidence to back this claim, but there are oodles of testimonials from students who have tried it that say that it just isnt true. So much for fresh breath and foreplay.

Another classic college sex story involved the act of a woman performing fellatio in order to reduce her risk of breast cancer by 40%. The text about this urban legend first appeared in 2003 on a students website, mysteriously vanished, and reappeared to look like a CNN News webpage. Of course as the story spread, the names of the so called experts who gave testimony to this were dropped, and all references to CNN were dropped (what college kid wants to be sued?) so the text became legend. Taking a look at the original web text, however, if you notice the names of the experts they are obviously fictional. The names of B.J. Sooner, InsertaShafteer, and Len Lictepeen clearly debunk the text of any fact. In 2000, there had also been a similar college sex story stating that male students who ogle womens breasts will enjoy longer lifespans because of it. Dont count on it.

Finally we have among the great college sex stories one that involves dogs and peanut butter. There are dozens of variations of this one, and one of the plots is that a college student who lives in an apartment came home from classes one evening on her birthday. Unbeknownst to her, several of her friends had been hiding in her bedroom with her dog, waiting to yell Surprise when she opened the door. The friends heard the woman bump around in the kitchen cabinets for a while, then heard her coming up the stairs, calling for her dog. When she opened the bedroom door, her friends did yell Surprise, but the surprise was all for them. It turns out that the college student was completely naked, calling for her dog, with peanut butter smeared all over her crotch. Some of the variations of this story go further, saying that the girl ended up shooting herself because she could not live with the embarrassment. The lesson in this college sex story? Dont smear stuff on you in private places when you have a dog and your friends have access to your crib.
